I now see this as a lifestyle and am committed to following it for the long term
"Also, I wanted to share my latest labs - please see attached. All looking good including the bicarbonate, which is back in normal (only just but I'll take it!). My eGFR is 58, which as you will see from my eGFR history, also attached, is my highest reading since Sept 2021, when it was 59. And since starting Keto on 13 Jan this year, my eGFR has steadily climbed from a starting point of 41 - long may that continue! Needless to say, I am thrilled with the result, and I am feeling really positive about Keto and eternally grateful for your help and guidance. I now see this as a lifestyle and am committed to following it for the long term. " - Alison C
I get to drop the “idiopathic” part of my diagnosis
| Idiopathic Kidney Disease | MRT and LEAP Protocol
"Since, October my proteinuria which had been hovering in the 250-350 range was now 35 and my GFR in the 70's. I was ecstatic but that was nothing compared to today! My lab draw for December I did on Saturday and then I had an appointment with my nephrologist today. My GFR is 93 and my proteinuria (and I quote) "is better than it has ever been" at 35. She asked me more about what I'd been doing and how I'd found this test (MRT) Then the best part - she said that she couldn't argue with the evidence that a food allergy caused an immune response that might have been the cause of my nephritis.
I never thought I would get to even pretend to drop the “idiopathic” part of my diagnosis but today I can – with the support and agreement of my doctor.
I wanted to thank you again for the part you played in this! I tell everyone who will listen that this was the best thing I did since my diagnosis and if anyone is ever interested in doing it for themselves I will definitely send them your way.
Thank you again for this fantastic gift of health.”

She continuously researches the most current and relevant clinical information
Diana Bruen, RD | Polycystic Kidney Disease
Diana is great. She is very knowledgeable and continuously researches the most current and relevant clinical information. I was trying to find the optimal diet and recipes to deal with my health issues, [but] everything I was reading was not only confusing but contradicted one another. She straightened all that out for me. She is also very kind and caring which makes her easy to talk to. You feel very comfortable asking questions and discussing personal issues. Diana is also very accessible, setting up meetings promptly and responding quickly to e-mails. I very much appreciate the rapid access to an expert and professional. Peter P.
Went from stage 4 to stage 3 CKD
Jessica Prohn, RD | Chronic Kidney Disease | Plant-based Renal Diet
I had Jessica's counseling for 6 weeks and went from stage 4 to stage 3 CKD. She was wonderfully enthusiastic! She took a comprehensive history, complete with lab results. Told me what supplements to take & what to eat less of. She gave me menu ideas & specific recipes. She was encouraging & positive the whole time. Made becoming vegan so much easier. We were able to reverse my CKD back to stage 3!!! JP W.
Kept weight on and stepping down potassium meds
Diana Bruen, RD | Polycystic Kidney Disease | Ketogenic Plant-Focused Diet
I cannot express how grateful I am for Diana’s expertise! My husband’s GFR, creatinine and BUN scores improved by 30% after seven weeks of eating 95% vegan and lowering protein to 40 grams a day. GFR from 15-->20, BUN 63-->27, Creat 4.1 -->3.03. My 70 year old husband has late stage kidney disease that was caused by acute damage (not by diabetes or high blood pressure.) Aside from his kidneys, he is in great health. He does not want transplantation nor is he interested in dialysis. My husband's nephrologist told us his kidney function would decrease over time with little hope of any significant improvement. He was concerned that my husband would lose too much weight. He has not. And now we are increasing potassium in his diet AND stepping down the potassium meds. Anonymous
Prolonged staying off dialysis for the last 6-7 months
Lindsey Zirker, RD | Chronic Kidney Disease
The most important thing I learned from Lindsey was general information about my disease. Going over labs has also taught me a lot and I feel more prepared for the future choosing foods to help my CKD. What immediately drew me to Lindsey was that you can tell she actually cares about her clients. She has taught me so much and I could not have prolonged staying off dialysis for the last 6-7 months if it weren't for her. I cannot wait to continue working with her! I have recommended her on a few CKD facebook groups. Anonymous, Schaumburg, IL
She reviewed my forms ahead of time
Cassandra Floyd, RD | Chronic Kidney Disease
It was obvious Cassandra reviewed my forms completely so she had a good idea of my problems and needs. She was very helpful and answered all my questions I sent prior to our visit. She was specific in asking through questionnaires info from me prior to the visit so she didn’t have to waste our time gathering it during our session. We just got to work! Janice M.
My kidneys are stable now!
Jessianna Saville, RD | Autoimmune Kidney Disease
"I guess my anti-inflammatory diet is working! I did have an appointment with my nephrologist a few weeks ago and she wants to see me one more time and then release me. She is confident I have no issues with my kidneys. I sincerely thank you for all you did for me and I am certain your recommendations and care were the turning point in my kidneys being stable now!" C.T.
I am a competitive bodybuilder/personal trainer with proteinuria/GFR issues
Jessianna Saville, RD | Chronic Kidney Disease
"I was instructed by my Renal Dr. to reach out and find a Renal dietitian to help me overcome my issues with proteinuria/GFR. I've been a competitive bodybuilder/personal trainer for over 10 yrs. I've worked with many so called "nutritionists" over the years. Jess is by far the most proactive, responsive, and understanding dietitian I've ever worked with.
Some of my concerns were obviously correcting the issues at hand along with interweaving my fitness goals with minimal decrease in performance. I also was concerned about the longevity of my results to continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle and be an example for my wife and daughter.
As far as how I came across Jess, I reached out to a half dozen specialist in my area and she was the 1st to reach back out to me. Researching a bit of what she was about and after talking to her the 1st time it was an easy decision.
Regardless of the amount of training and experience I’ve had over 20 yrs in the fitness industry, Jess still could point out the simplest things I may have overlooked. Her attention to detail was really a great strength to have on my side! Reflecting back now, her passion to really want to help others have a better lifestyle was moving to me. She was there through every step of the way and sharing my stress so I never felt alone.
I’d gladly recommend anyone to Jessianna even if it didn’t deal directly with any renal issues. That being said, I couldn’t feel happier or more blessed to have her in my corner.”

She will get to the bottom of what’s causing your illness
Jessianna Saville, RD | Autoimmune Kidney Disease | MRT and LEAP Protocol
"Before working with Jess I was covered with sores from head to toe. I had been eating what I thought to be a healthy diet, e.g. fruits, veggies, lean meats, etc. Without even realizing it, I was making myself sicker. I felt lost and just wanted to get well. I had a feeling that some things I ate or came in contact with may have been contributing but I wasn't sure.. I wanted to know if I had to go on medication, what if anything I could do to make it better, and if my case was one she would take on. Her passion, dedication, and perseverance to help me get better. She was very informative and always communicated to make sure I was doing OK.
When I was at my lowest points, Jess was right by my side. She listened, never judged, and always gave me hope. She’s a darn good investigator and will get to the bottom of what’s causing your illness and won’t stop until she does. Jess reminded me that it is called “HealthCARE” for a reason. I would without question refer Jess. I talk about LEAP/Jess all the time. I write about it. I live it. After all, she saved my life.”

Most CKD patients are told to see a renal dietitian and Jess is a good one!”
Jessianna Saville, RD | Chronic Kidney Disease
"Jess was able to affirm that what I was doing on my own was basically correct and offer some creative alternatives to make it better. Whether you are a new CKD'er or a seasoned kidney patient in a quandary about what you can actually eat, Jess can provide a diet tune-up or point you in the right direction to get started to help you help yourself. Most CKD patients are told to see a renal dietitian and Jess is a good one!" L.R. Bryan
MRT test brought clarity to what I was experiencing
Jessianna Saville, RD | Autoimmune Kidney Disease | MRT Test and LEAP Protocol
I would highly recommend Jess Saville & the MRT Test/Diet. The root-cause of my symptoms may not be food related, but the intensity & frequency of my symptoms are easily amplified by disagreeable foods. This test was the first thing to bring clarity to what I was experiencing & the diet brought measurable relief quickly. I would recommend this test/diet to every child (to mitigate any problems early) and to any adult that is experiencing any form of discomfort. Matt K.
I have my hands back and I feel great!!
Jessianna Saville, RD | Autoimmune Kidney Disease | MRT Test and LEAP Protocol
"A year ago I was in pretty bad shape. Gluten intolerant and such bad inflammation in my hands, back and shoulders that I was on some pretty heavy duty pain meds just to take the edge off. Anyone who knows me knows how much I NEED my hands!! Using a blood test as a road map, Jessianna helped me discover what foods were causing the inflammation and making me sick all the time. 6 months into the LEAP program I can eat gluten again and I rarely even take so much as an Advil. I have my hands back and I feel great!! It's like magic, only it's science." Christauna A.
The LEAP and Deep Dive programs literally saved my life
Jessianna Saville, RD | Autoimmune Kidney Disease | MRT and LEAP Protocol
The LEAP and Deep Dive programs literally saved my life. I found out I have Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) several years ago. When I found out I began reading about ways to improve my kidney health, stabilize it or, at the very least, slow the deterioration process. I found that there is almost no useful information on this topic. Everything I read and studied seemed to end with the same conclusion; dialysis. I found through research that the diabetic diet is in contrast to the CKD diet. In frustration, I called my local hospital and asked for a dietician specializing in Diabetes/CKD nutrition.
I was told that they were searching for one for their staff but had yet to find one. Then I was told about KNI and the work they do. I called, spoke to Jessianna Saville and after several conversations with her, I decided to try the Deep Dive program. My doctors were unsure of a cause for my CKD since my diabetes was well controlled. Jessianna and I discussed the possibility that my CKD is caused by autoimmune problems. I currently have three other autoimmune diseases, diabetes, thyroid, and arthritis. The program addresses the affect gut health has on our health. It isn’t a hard program to follow but it isn’t a breeze either. It takes a commitment to follow the program and not cheat if you want the program to work. I decided it was worth trying it to stay off of dialysis. I started the program in January of 2020. Jessianna worked with me the entire time I was on the program, answering questions, planning the course I should take, and offering encouragement the whole time. After 4.5 months on the program, my CKD is stable and my GRF went from 36 to 40. I no longer have arthritis pain in my knees, my skin is clear, I’m feeling physically and mentally great AND I no longer need to take my diabetes medicine. I am beyond pleased at what this program did for me. I highly recommend it to those with health problems, but also those looking for a better way of eating and staying healthy.

Very prompt to respond to questions
Lydia S., RD | Polycystic Kidney Disease | Ketogenic Plant-Focused Diet
Lydia is very prompt to respond to questions. She is open to questions and open to new ideas. She is very patient and supportive. Plant-based, Low oxalate diet is best, with limited protein from meat. Lydia did a good job covering a lot of information in the allotted time however we ran over the allotted time each session probably because I talk too much. She cares and it shows. Howard Ehlers
Supplied research based encouragement
Lydia S., RD | Polycystic Kidney Disease | Ketogenic Plant-Focused Diet
Lydia gave me comfort in my choices and supplied research based encouragement to pursue dietary interventions to my PKD management. On top of that, she was a joy to speak with. Her email follow ups alone were incredibly helpful. I appreciated the time and effort Lydia put into our discussion. Parker H.
My GFR and my IBS symptoms have improved
Jessica Prohn, RD | Chronic Kidney Disease | GI Map Testing
I began working with Jessica at KNI because I was diagnosed with CKD and was confused about what I should and should not eat. I also had IBS issues. I had great results working with Jessica. She is kind, sensitive, and caring. She was so willing to answer all my questions and provide me with eating plans and delicious recipes. Though Kidney Nutrition Institute recommended tests, dietary changes, and supplements not only has my GFR improved, my IBS symptoms have too, and I continue to feel better all the time. Many thanks to Jessica at Kidney Nutrition Institute! M.W.
It’s so comforting to have her guidance and direction
Jessica Prohn, RD | Chronic Kidney Disease
Jessica is a delight to work with. She is kind, has a positive and helpful attitude, and wants to help me be successful in managing my CKD. She goes the extra mile to find solutions to issues with iron, etc. I feel she is there for me and does her best to help me manage my health. Jessica helped me realize I could still enjoy my favorite foods and manage my health. Jessica has shared wonderful resources with me for recipes and given me suggestions for foods to include, such as roasted spaghetti squash. She is a wealth of knowledge and I look forward to my interactions with her. Jessica is very thorough in her approach to my dietary care and takes her time.
I believe she truly cares about my health. She will address any issues I’m having and has helped broaden my understanding of kidney health. If not for Jessica’s guidance, I shudder to think where my labs would be today. I love the convenience of the portal, being able to upload my labs for Jessica and get her feedback on my progress. I feel I get much more benefit working with Jessica’s expertise as my nephrologist didn’t seem to think there was anything I could do to help improve my situation. He only told me to watch my acid, bp, weight, and A1c, but didn’t give me direction on how to do that. Jessica has been a Godsend to me and I feel we connect well on our calls. The unlimited access is most valuable as I can message Jessica anytime with a question and get her response quickly. I feel the service I receive is of great value to me and worth every dollar spent. Jessica’s kind, friendly, and professional approach is very comforting and she is a wealth of knowledge. She is quick to find answers to anything I need. I appreciate Jessica’s excellence of service. It’s so comforting to have her guidance and direction as I navigate this new aspect of my health – which would be very scary without her expertise.

Concrete guidance in improving my diet to save kidney function
Jessica Prohn, RD | Chronic Kidney Disease
I found the concrete guidance in improving my diet to save kidney function so valuable. Jessica is knowledgeable and responds to my questions and evolving dietary changes. She helped me know my best food options, in what amounts, and helped with my weight management . I was already primarily plant based but now I understand the finer nutritional aspects of the foods I eat. Jessica is the best health care support I have come across in many years. She is so easy to communicate with and thoughtful about recommendations. I definitely feel seen as an individual and supported in addressing my CKD proactively.
All of it has been great. Using the Cronometer with Jessica’s access to my diary is so valuable and I am grateful to have access to this tool . Online video session allows me access to Jessica even though I live in Western Mass. Being able to submit my labs online is also expedient and helpful.

Seeing improvements in his overall health
Jessianna Saville, RD | Chronic Kidney Disease
My husband was told by his nephrologist to increase his medication for CKD 3rd stage. We are in our early 40s and honestly thought that we needed to improve our diets since increasing medication seemed just another quick fix which would not help in the long run. We are from Houston and had contacted several dieticians in our area until one dietician looked at our case and referred Jessianna Saville to us recognizing what we needed was someone experienced in Renal diet. From our first virtual meeting we found her to be extremely patient as we listed our concerns to her.
She went through the lab results and was very supportive and confident that things will improve if we stay disciplined and follow the diet she had planned. We got to know the logic behind the diets she mentioned and she would explain in detail how to stay the course. She would also send recipes that would be easy to make and then follow up on what we like or disliked every week. We had a time set and she’d have a look at the lab result and encourage us to keep going. My husband had to leave for work offshore and he had limited communication for 5-6 weeks. Even in that situation she communicated with me and understood the schedule he had to follow and suggested diet plans that worked around that. Gradually N. is seeing improvements in his overall health. Our nephrologist also was happy with the results. “N. and I were just trying to improve our dietary habits but through her expertise we have learned to manage kidney disease thanks to her. Our feedback for her is extremely positive and wish her all the best. “

Cleared up my severe eczema
Jessianna Saville, RD | Autoimmune Disease/ Allergy-induce Immune Response | MRT Test and LEAP Protocol
My experience with Jessianna and LEAP (MRT) was amazing! I decided to try the program because I had been struggling with eczema for years. My back story: After the birth of my second child I got really severe eczema that took months to get under control. I finally found a dermatologist who did patch testing and found several topical chemicals I was allergic to. I eliminated the use of them and my eczema was greatly reduced. After the birth of my third child the eczema returned, a dermatologist diagnosed that I had an allergy to the pregnancy hormone.
He said it should clear out of my system within a few weeks. Most of the reaction did clear up, but the sever eczema remained on my hands. I went back and he told me it had to be something I was coming in contact with. I had already eliminated all the known allergens. I called the diaper and wipes companies, and the detergent company to see if any changes had been made to the formulas they used to make their products. I couldn’t find anything that I was touching that would be causing the eczema.

Lindsey Zirker, RD | Autoimmune Kidney Disease
Lindsey was very thorough with all my needs and she suggested the plant-based diet and explained how it would benefit me. My main concern was what can I eat without, paying $$$$? Improved function and numbers helped me avoid dialysis
Diana Bruen, RD | Polycystic Kidney Disease | Ketogenic Plant-Focused Diet
Working with Diana has been truly transformational. Diana's knowledge of PKD, and how a diet and supplements could improve kidney function was astounding. With her guidance, we turned an imminent dialysis diagnosis into stabilization and improvement in function and numbers. From the start, Diana was supportive and caring, a true partner. She was incredibly patient and always listened to concerns. She went above and beyond to help me succeed and get me healthy. I would highly recommend Diana Bruen, without a single doubt.

I’m no longer pre-diabetic.
Cassandra Floyd, RD | Chronic Kidney Disease
Cassandra is easy to talk to and encouraging. Since she put me on the plant-based diet, my creatinine went down from 2.35 to 1.8 and my GFR rose from 26 to 34. I am now in moderate CKD rather than severe. My A1C has dropped so that I am no longer pre-diabetic. Cassandra knows her stuff! Dan W.
