CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

Success with MRT!

This experience has been the singular greatest source of relief I have had in the past 2 years.

"A year ago I was in pretty bad shape. Gluten intolerant and such bad inflammation in my hands, back and shoulders that I was on some pretty heavy duty pain meds just to take the edge off. Anyone who knows me know how much I NEED my hands!! Using a blood test as a road map, Jessianna helped me discover what foods were causing the inflammation and making me sick all the time. 6 months into the LEAP program I can eat gluten again and I rarely even take so much as an Advil. I have my hands back and I feel great!! It's like magic, only it's science."

My experience with LEAP (MRT) was amazing! I decided to try the program because I had been struggling with eczema for years. My back story: After the birth of my second child I got really severe eczema that took months to get under control. I finally found a dermatologist who did patch testing and found several topical chemicals I was allergic to. I eliminated the use of them and my eczema was greatly reduced. After the birth of my third child the eczema returned, a dermatologist diagnosed that I had an allergy to the pregnancy hormone. He said it should clear out of my system within a few weeks. Most of the reaction did clear up, but the sever eczema remained on my hands. I went back and he told me it had to be something I was coming in contact with. I had already eliminated all the known allergens. I called the diaper and wipes companies, and the detergent company to see if any changes had been made to the formulas they used to make their products. I couldn’t find anything that I was touching that would be causing the eczema.

"Before working with Jess I was covered with sores from head to toe. I had been eating what I thought to be a healthy diet, e.g. fruits, veggies, lean meats, etc. Without even realizing it, I was making myself sicker. I felt lost and just wanted to get well. I had a feeling that some things I ate or came in contact with may have been contributing but I wasn't sure.. I wanted to know if I had to go on medication, what if anything I could do to make it better, and if my case was one she would take on. Her passion, dedication, and perseverance to help me get better. She was very informative and always communicated to make sure I was doing OK. When I was at my lowest points, Jess was right by my side. She listened, never judged, and always gave me hope. She's a darn good investigator and will get to the bottom of what's causing your illness and won't stop until she does. Jess reminded me that it is called "HealthCARE" for a reason.I would without question refer Jess. I talk about LEAP/Jess all the time. I write about it. I live it. After all, she saved my life."

I would highly recommend Jess Saville & the MRT Test/Diet

To every child (to mitigate any problems early) and to any adult that is experiencing any form of discomfort.

The root-cause of my symptoms may not be food related, but the intensity & frequency of my symptoms are easily amplified by disagreeable foods. This test was the first thing to bring clarity to what I was experiencing & the diet brought measurable relief quickly.

I would recommend this test/diet to every child (to mitigate any problems early) and to any adult that is experiencing any form of discomfort.

Prior to this, I had ~35 year history of fitness & great health. Good eating habits, good cholesterol, good blood pressure, & strong mental status.

For the past two years, I have been going thru some relatively severe health issues. Each symptom lasting several months, but changed over 2-3 month time-scales.

Neuromuscular symptoms: confusion, short-term memory loss, making lots of mistakes, violent muscle spasms, tremors/palsy, tingling hands

GI Symptoms included: IBS, loss of 43 lbs. nausea, cramps

Cardiac symptoms: angina & high heart rate (>120 bpm resting & 140 on standing or walking, exercise not possible)

Other Symptoms: Burning lungs, intermittent fever, tinnitus

I worked with 5 doctors of varying specialties (Infectious Disease, Cardiologist, Neurologist, Psychologist, Primary Care). In the end they provided a diagnosis of exclusion (by literally testing for all the life threatening conditions they can think of & ruling them out). In the end they diagnosed me with Post-Viral Syndrome & a prognosis of: “I might get better, I might not.”

Coincidently, after this diagnosis, Jess learned of my situation & offered her services. And truthfully it wasn’t something I was aware of or would have thought to try. And I was a bit skeptical in the beginning as I thought I was already eating healthier than most people.

I began working with Jess with the mindsets that “it can’t hurt to try” & “this is way cheaper than any of the doctors.” The test kit arrived quickly after our 1st meeting, I promptly had blood drawn, & shipped .

The results came in & we reviewed them together. We saw several reactive items that were no surprise as I have known issues with them (things like shellfish & pineapple).

We also saw a few surprises. Several foods I was eating regularly that were mildly or strongly reactive (yellow & red items).

My thoughts started running. I began recalling meals & bad weekends where events quickly started to correlate. Simple example: Every Saturday morning I made eggs for breakfast with my wife & I often felt terrible the rest of the day… Eggs happen to be one of my strongest reactive foods.

After reviewing the results I started to believe in the power of the test/diet. I committed to sticking to the diet 100%. Jess prescribed an adapted version of the MRT diet that was a good deal simpler than the diet referenced in the literature.

Where the first week was limited to the 8-10 least reactive food items. After that first week I was instructed to introduce one new food each day (starting again from the least reactive foods working my way up to the higher reactive foods). It was an elegant way to isolate each new food item, allow the new food time to react (if it would), & buy time for my body to calm down before introducing the higher reactivity foods.

After the 1st week I saw marked improvement approx. 50% on the Initial Symptoms Survey.

I opted to continue a slower than the average reintroduction path as my symptoms were quite severe & truthfully I wanted to enjoy the improvement I had gained. I was perfectly happy with the severely limited diet as long as I felt good.

I was very careful to stick to previously challenged foods. After 4-weeks on the diet I saw approx. 75% improvement.

In total I have been on the diet for approx. 16 weeks now. My symptoms are now tolerable. I am able to return to an almost normal life. I have every intention to continue the diet & hope to make a 100% recovery.

I cannot express how grateful I am for Diana’s expertise! My husband’s GFR, creatinine and BUN scores improved by 30% after seven weeks of eating 95% vegan and lowering protein to 40 grams a day.GFR from 15-->20, BUN 63-->27, Creat 4.1 -->3.03. My 70 year old husband has late stage kidney disease that was caused by acute damage (not by diabetes or high blood pressure.) Aside from his kidneys, he is in great health. He does not want transplantation nor is he interested in dialysis. My husband's nephrologist told us his kidney function would decrease over time with little hope of any significant improvement. He was concerned that my husband would lose too much weight. He has not. And now we are increasing potassium in his diet AND stepping down the potassium meds.

Diana is great. She is very knowledgeable and continuously researches the most current and relevant clinical information. I was trying to find the optimal diet and recipes to deal with my health issues, [but] everything I was reading was not only confusing but contradicted one another. She straightened all that out for me. She is also very kind and caring which makes her easy to talk to. You feel very comfortable asking questions and discussing personal issues. Diana is also very accessible, setting up meetings promptly and responding quickly to e-mails.

I very much appreciate the rapid access to an expert and professional.

Amy is easy to talk with and quite responsive (promptly replies with answers or assures you that she is seeking to find answers). She is intuitive (her gut kept urging me to test for Vitamin B deficiency which turned out to be the cause of my Burning Mouth Syndrome - BMS). She is knowledgeable in her field and collaborative with other care providers to achieve best patient outcome.

Juli L. | Ohio | Dec. 2020

"I couldn't wait to tell Amy about my lab results [after working with her]! My GFR improved from 48 to 54, my creatinine went down to 1.06 to 1.16 and my BUN went down to 25 from 29!"

Susan P. | Retired | Dec. 2020

"I guess my anti-inflammatory diet is working! I did have an appointment with my nephrologist a few weeks ago and she wants to see me one more time and then release me. She is confident I have no issues with my kidneys. I sincerely thank you for all you did for me and I am certain your recommendations and care were the turning point in my kidneys being stable now!"

"Jess was able to affirm that what I was doing on my own was basically correct and offer some creative alternatives to make it better. Whether you are a new CKD'er or a seasoned kidney patient in a quandary about what you can actually eat, Jess can provide a diet tune-up or point you in the right direction to get started to help you help yourself.

Most CKD patients are told to see a renal dietitian and Jess is a good one!"

"It's been several years since I had my appt with Jessianna and I'm still doing great. When I get ice cubes out of the freezer at work and see all of the packaged foods my co-workers have stocked in there, all I see is kidney damaging phosphates…….not the food pictured on the boxes. I have totally changed my way of eating. I am 62, and except for some arthritis , feel the best I ever have!! Still have diabetes and kidney disease, but have learned to embrace a healthier way of life!"

"I was instructed by my Renal Dr. to reach out an find a Renal dietitian to help me overcome my issues with proteinuria/GFR issues.

I've been a competitive bodybuilder/personal trainer for over 10 yrs. I've worked with many so called "nutritionists" over the years. Jess is by far the most proactive, responsive, and understanding dietitian I've ever worked with.

Some of my concerns were obviously correcting the issues at hand along with interweaving my fitness goals with minimal decrease in performance. I also was concerned about the longevity of my results to continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle and be an example for my wife and daughter.

As far as how I came across Jess, I reached out to a half dozen specialist in my area and she was the 1st to reach back out to me. Researching a bit of what she was about and after talking to her the 1st time it was an easy decision.

Regardless of the amount of training and experience I've had over 20 yrs in the fitness industry, Jess still could point out the simplest things I may have overlooked. Her attention to detail was really a great strength to have on my side! Reflecting back now, her passion to really want to help others have a better lifestyle was moving to me. She was there through every step of the way and sharing my stress so I never felt alone.

I'd gladly recommend anyone to Jessianna even if it didn't deal directly with any renal issues. That being said, I couldn't feel happier or more blessed to have her in my corner."

JT W, San Antonio, Texas

"Since, October my proteinuria which had been hovering in the 250-350 range was now 35 and my GFR in the 70's. I was ecstatic but that was nothing compared to today! My lab draw for December I did on Saturday and then I had an appointment with my nephrologist today. My GFR is 93 and my proteiniuria (and I quote) "is better than it has ever been" at 35. She asked me more about what I'd been doing and how I'd found this test (MRT) Then the best part - she said that she couldn't argue with the evidence that a food allergy might have been the cause of my nephritis. I never thought I would get to even pretend to drop the "idiopathic" part of my diagnosis but today I can - with the support and agreement of my doctor.

I wanted to thank you again for the part you played in this! I tell everyone who will listen that this was the best thing I did since my diagnosis and if anyone is ever interested in doing it for themselves I will definitely send them your way.

Thank you again for this fantastic gift of health."

As months passed, and I couldn’t get it under control, I heard about LEAP while researching ways to help with eczema. A few weeks later I saw that Jessianna was certified as a LEAP nutritionist. I reached out to her and started the process. Within the first few weeks of being on the LEAP program all of my symptoms, not just the eczema had been reduced by over 50%. By the end of the first three months, I only had a couple of little red spots remaining. After six months I was essentially eczema free. I still have a flair up now and then if I come into contact with one of my known topical allergens, but it clears up very quickly.

One of the added benefits to the program was that symptoms I didn't even know were symptoms went away. Things like itchy ears, and sensitivity to light and sound were greatly reduced. I had been trying to get back into running for a long time, but my joints kept getting really sore. After starting the LEAP program I started running again. I can now run farther and faster than I have been able to in years, and my joints are holding up to it without pain. Another added benefit was that normally over the winter I get a few colds that last around two weeks and really wipe me out. This past winter I only got a runny nose a couple of times, and it never lasted longer than a week. I told Jessianna about this and she said it was likely because I had less inflammation in my body, so my body could fight off the colds easier and quicker.

The program was challenging, but it was doable. Even from the beginning, I was able to eat a balanced diet, and it was satisfying. I would recommend it to anyone who is experiencing autoimmune issues that seem unexplainable. I have completed the six month program now and have been able to add all of the yellow and red foods back in but in limited amounts. One of my few red foods is cane sugar. I did crave it for a while, but after a few weeks the cravings went away. Now I am able to eat it in limited amounts, but I don’t really crave desserts like I used to. An added bonus of healthier eating is that I've been able to lose weight, maintain, and been able to wear all my smaller sized favorite clothes!!

Jessianna was also awesome to work with. She was very good about answering all of my questions, and helping me to know what to eat. This was especially helpful in the beginning when my food choices were very limited.
