Simple kidney-friendly party beverage
Slime Punch
Easy 2-ingredient kidney friendly punch for holiday parties
Print PinServings: 20 people
Calories: 177kcal
Ingredients
- 1 2-liter bottle Lemon-Lime Soda (Can also use ginger-ale. Use diet soda if diabetic.)
- 1/2 gallon Lime Sherbet Any flavor works, but lime has the best "slime" color effect!
Instructions
- Scoop sherbet into punch bowl or individual glasses. Pour soda over the top.
Notes
Variations on this include adding 12oz limeade or a large can of pineapple juice. Both of these will increase the potassium content, so if you're needing a restricted potassium diet, be careful about quantities.

KidneyGrub Verdict:
Simple and refreshing. This easy beverage is great for parties.  There is nothing fancy about this drink, but the simplicity makes it a “go-to” for parties.  Remember if you’re watching fluid intake that sherbet “counts” as a fluid.
