january bulletin board with title "Rockin'Resolutions" and pictures of bands

Music is a good way to remember!

January 1 is upon us!  This rock star bulletin board is one of two January dialysis bulletin board themes that I have for you. (You can checkout the other one here). If you have patients at your facility that love music (and likely you have plenty of them!) this is a good board to help you make some fun connections.  Instead of reminding them to take their phosphate binders you can now just sing, “I will remember you…” and they’ll know what you’re talking about.

I tried to pick songs that were familiar to everyone.  I knew all these songs except the “Asparagus Next Left.” In my defense, finding a song about low potassium vegetables was super hard.

A couple notes on this board

Supplies I used ( I ordered from Amazon. The letters you can get from OfficeDepot or Staples) but the background I can only find on Amazon:

4” Blue Die Cut Letters: https://amzn.to/2BPxJFv (these are a little bit lighter, but would still work.

Black Scalloped Border: https://amzn.to/2s0AGhJ (I like this 6 pack of borders for the price!)

Better Than Paper Galvanized Metal Background: https://amzn.to/2CEGm78  (LOVE this product!)

And more notes about this board…

There are more pictures in the file then I ended up having room for on my board.  Also on the “Asparagus Next left” I have differenct (Better) vegetable pictures in the file then show up on the board.

Other ideas of “Resolutions” you could include (I don’t have songs to go along with these but some more ideas):

    1. Make a new friend, reach out to an old friend
    2. Try new recipes
    3. Ask your dialysis team about transplant
    4. Achieve a comfortable dry weight every treatment OR Keep my fluids in check

Get this board and save yourself some time!

You can get the file for this board by becoming a member of the Renal Education Library or by downloading it from RD2RD.
