The shift towards a more plant-based diet is becoming increasingly popular in today’s diet culture. Handout also includes a few additional tips, like trying 1 new spice each month, and even additional foods that can be kept on hand to help whip up a quick and easy meal! As always, it is important to individualize education for the patient so included on the handout is a note indicating that the items on the list are not necessarily low in potassium, encouraging further consult with a Renal Dietitian if needed.
